Having recently moved to London, I've been stuck for places to eat, drink and socialise. So when a friend told me about a new Tinderesque app that is circling around London, I thought yea why not, I swipe yes or no for girls why not for the other great pleasures in my life; bars, restaurants and shops. The app I am talking about is called Wonder App and boy is it a wonder[ful] app.

If you are new to the city, looking for a date location or just simply wanting to find a few new hot spots and be the first to know about new pop up events, this app is for you.

The app takes into account your age, sex, location and interests, then the boffins who created the app work on an algorithm that takes into account all those factors. Within in flash it compiles a list of bars, restaurants, shops and events to cater for your needs. After that you then simply swipe right or left for yes or no. It also gives you a few other indications like £ sign for price of the place (1x£ = cheap and cheerful 5x£ = expensive and bank breaking) and also how many other people have liked that place. The apps ethos is to surprise the audience, they strive to find the places you might not think of going to.

The app is so quick and simple to use! You can plan your whole week using this thing. Taking a girl on a date? Open this baby up and see what fun things are going on in your area. Looking for a place to grab some lunch but don't know the area? Wonder will find the best place for you. Your mother coming down for a visit? Switch the category to 'Culture Vulture' and find out what west end shows and art exhibitions are on this weekend.
Wonder is currently only available for Iphones on the app store but the team behind it are working effortlessly to get it onto android. As well as being in London the app has launched in New York with a few more European cities to be added to the map later this year. So keep your eyes peeled.

With scouts running around the city every week finding new and exciting events and venues, you will have plenty of inspiration for your next rendezvous.
